Catalogue of the Natural Communities of the Forested Wetlands

MELCCFP (2022-2023)

In partnership with Louise Gratton, biologist and consultant in conservation, this pilot project facilitated the identification of the wetlands in Southern Quebec through the creation of a catalogue of the typical communities found in forested wetlands. This tool developed for and in close collaboration with the Directorate for the Protection of Species and Natural Environments (DPEMN) of the Ministry of the Environment, the Fight against Climate Change, Wildlife and Parks (MELCCFP), will standardize the survey methods necessary for the application of the regulatory framework and aims to improve the protection of species in a precarious situation and their habitats.
