Due to planned ash tree removal in the Domaine Saint-Paul woodland, Biodiversité Conseil updated all occurrences of species at risk and characterized habitats, as required by the authorization issued by the Direction principale des aires protégées (DPAP). These inventories identified colonies or individuals of six species at risk across 26 hectares, which were georeferenced by the Biodiversité Conseil team. An inventory of birds, herpetofauna, and bats was also conducted, along with the delineation of wetlands and the determination of the shoreline boundary of Lac des Battures. The recommendations issued helped minimize disturbances to this important natural environment, which supports exceptionally rich flora and fauna in the Montreal region.
